WHAT I LOVE

-My family. I value family and so do my clients, so I only take about 12-15 weddings per year.

-My faith in Jesus. It affects who I am, what I do as an artist, and how I love and serve my clients. However, I photograph weddings of all religious (and non-religious) backgrounds.

-My dogs. Pets are family too, so I love when couples incorporate theirs into their wedding.

-Coffee. I am not a fully functioning human being unless I have had a good bit of caffeine in the morning.

-Donuts. I realized I had a problem when the first words brides speak to me on their wedding day are: "Aly! We have donuts!" The Krispy Kreme “hot now” sign is my kryptonite.

-Anthropologie, Madewell, JCrew, Sézane, and local boutiques like II Brunettes.

-Pinterest. I don't know how I would decorate my house or cook anything without it.

-Baking. I love to bake as frequently as possible, despite the fact that I was on "toaster probation" when I was little for almost catching the kitchen on fire.  In the off season you can find me baking weekly homemade bread or muffins.

-Books. Real ones...not the electronic kind. I like to underline, fold down the pages, and hold actual paper in my hands. If we know each other long enough, I’ll probably recommend a book to you at some point.

-My job. Regular life is beautiful. Weddings are insanely beautiful.  Not just the dresses, the flowers, or the venue...the moments, people, and connections are beautiful. I’m so thankful to do what I love.

I CAN’T WAIT TO HEAR WHAT WE HAVE IN COMMON.

PHILOSOPHY

I want to take photos that will be on display at your grandCHILD’s wedding.

photographs are one of the best ways to remember a day you never want to forget

I have dealt with fainting bridesmaids, ripped dresses, rainy days, melting cakes, bee stings, and power outages. We can handle it all.

My family is happiest on, in or near the water. On my days off we are often at the beach or on our boat.

I’ve used Photoshop for over 20 years. When I first started, I had to develop film, scan it onto the computer (a 90’s blue iMac G3) and *then* edit the photo.
